FAQ
What is the conversion rate?
The annual rate applied when converting a lump-sum deposit into monthly rent. Korea caps the statutory rate at the lower of (base rate + 2%p) and 10%; market rates vary by region.
What formula is used?
Monthly rent = (jeonse − deposit) × rate ÷ 12. The reverse adds (monthly rent × 12 ÷ rate) to the deposit.
Is this legally binding?
This is for reference only. Check the statutory caps and consult a professional before signing a contract.
