FAQ
Margin vs markup?
Margin divides profit by price; markup divides by cost. At 7,000 cost / 10,000 price: 30% margin but 42.9% markup.
How is price derived from target margin?
Price = cost ÷ (1 − margin). Multiplying cost by (1 + margin) is a markup formula and undershoots the target.
What about fees and VAT?
Fold marketplace fees, shipping, and packaging into the cost figure; handle VAT separately on the pre-tax price.
