FAQ
Which formula is used?
The JAG/TI formula used by North American and Korean weather services: 13.12 + 0.6215T − 11.37V^0.16 + 0.3965T·V^0.16, valid at ≤10°C and ≥4.8 km/h.
What about summer feels-like temperature?
Summer feels-like uses humidity-based formulas (heat index, WBGT). This tool covers wind-driven winter chill only.
Why does wind make it feel colder?
Wind strips away the warm air layer next to your skin, accelerating heat loss. The air temperature doesn't change—your body just loses heat faster.
